Dark Grey Europe was asked by ERFMI to design, build and host their website. Our experience in the flooring market made us the ideal choice for setting the tone of voice and ensuring high production values.
ERFMI is the European Resilient Flooring Manufacturers’ Institute and represents the interests of the resilient flooring industry in various forums.
To attract new members and support efficient communication and knowledge sharing between associates they needed an online presence. This should reflect the aspirations of the institute and affiliated organisations, and allow protected access for content available only for members.
Dark Grey Europe developed a highly attractive website based on WordPress which allows easy updates and provides protected members-only area for sharing of restricted content.
Our challenge was to represent the overwhelming choice in colour, design, size and construction of flooring, together with the significant budget constraints of a not-for-profit organisation. Dark Grey Europe used the power of WordPress and our experience of designing for the flooring market to create a cost-effective solution.
The site also includes some custom, online calculation tools for members that were developed and scripted by Dark Grey Europe.
Although, the original intention was only to design and set up the site and then transfer to ERFMI to host and maintain, Dark Grey Europe has been such a reliable partner that we continue to host and maintain the site.
